Yes, you buy your own sod. That's the point.
Everyone else posts you grass on a subscription and charges you for the privilege, forever. We'd rather you walked into Home Depot, spent about eight dollars, and kept the difference.

What's underneath
The bit that keeps the grass alive
Under the sod sits our patent-pending drainage and airflow system. Water leaves, air gets in, roots don't rot - which is why a piece typically lasts two to three months rather than a fortnight. It's also why there's no smell.
Made from UV-resistant ABS polymer, so a west-facing balcony in high summer doesn't touch it. Light enough to move one-handed, stable enough that an excited labrador can't shift it.

A small bag of potting mix. You will use about an inch.
That is the whole shopping list. Liners come in the box - a 10-pack, not an upsell.
Keeping it alive
Treat it like a small patch of lawn. Water it, give it light, let the tray drain.
Most people get 2-3 months out of a piece. That is an average, not a promise - light, drainage, climate, how often your dog uses it and how well you look after it all move that number. Looked after well, some customers get six months. Indoors and neglected, closer to 2-4 weeks.
When it is done, cut it in half, lift it into the trash, and lay the next one.
